What has changed?
Life. Time. Circumstances. Situations.
Years ago I had an elderly gentleman, when I asked his advice on life, tell me "Always remember, these are the good old days".
I am now quite sure that I didnt have the foggiest notion of what he meant by that.
But a few more years under the belt and I believe that I am beginning to understand life is ever more complicated. There is a never ending stream of things needing done, people demanding our time. Changes become more frequent and are viewed as increasingly unnecessary.
I cant help but wonder if we dont do it to ourselves.
But, if that is true, then we should be able to "undo" it to ourselves.
When is the last time you had fun? When is the last time that you got out of your own way and enjoyed yourself? The last time you did something you werent supposed to do and felt the thrill of it? The last time you had a simple happiness and excitement?
When I think of my last times the common theme in them is being with somebody who I identified with, a close friend, a lover, a sibling. The experiences are hard to have alone.
I dont accept that being an adult and being happy and excited for things are exclusive of each other. They should compliment and enhance. I have much more means now than I ever have, shouldnt the positive experiences increase with it?
Honestly, I dont know. But its time to test the theory. The first step is identifying my partner in , somebody willing to let go. A friend, a lover possibly.
I am in town for a few weeks only and will be working for much of it. But when Im not I want to test all arapahoe NC cheating wives of the above.
